According to Safaricom engineers, they identified the root cause of the outage, which was a failure on both  core network as well as our redundancy options.
On the other hand, kenyan took to the social media their guesses on what was happening, many of them thought the Government was integrating
mpesa with kra care which KRA has denied the  reports that M-Pesa accounts were being linked to their system during outage.
